The economic crisis also affects the Festival and now leads to the disengagement of important partners. This situation puts us now in a very uncomfortable position to hold a serious and professional Festival in 2009 as it was previously planned in Aix en Provence from 12 to 15 February. After long and painful consideration, we decided to cancel the festival in its expected aspect. We are now thinking of a complete overhaul of its organization in line with a sustainable economic viability and matching the expectations of audiences Festival. For those who know it, the Festival has succeeded, in 4 editions, to pave a difficult path in a sector hit by an unprecedented crisis. The event, which has proved its usefulness to industry partners in France and abroad, is predominantly a place of Valuation of the Creation, and a meeting ground for development of young talents. The Festival aims to foster a new creative impetus, a new look at the music video in itself and explore new patterns through economic status of audiovisual work. This meeting will be held between the general public, many artists and professionals. The stakes of the 2009 edition will once again gather the various stakeholders in the network and explore the diversity around a music video Competition produced in 2008 and divided into 3 sections (International, French production and Newcomers). Debates, meetings and retrospectives will also be added.
